Our civilization is engaged in a transformational shift. We’ve experienced them before — the Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution, and when our species began to build cities and establish agriculture.
At each of these moments, we have a choice — take the challenge and move forward, or turn away and fall back. Our choice this time is even more perilous than usual, for if we fail now, the fall will be farther, and harder. Division, devastation, separation… we all know the risks we face.
We have more to lose — but also more to gain, for this time, turning the corner offers a stunning opportunity. On the other side of this threshold lies a future we have only dreamed of — inclusive, welcoming, restorative for both our species and the Earth. Not utopic, for it will be work, hard work, for all of us, but do-able.
The choice is ours, and every single person on the planet is involved in the work required, whether they realize it or not. Not one can be spared; each is necessary, no matter how small they consider their contribution.
I write my books and my blog to explore the questions we must answer at this moment, to try to express the learning we must undertake, the growth we have to face, the trials that are ours. This is the vision underlying the world of my New Trails series, which is farther down this road we walk than is our own civilization. It may offer a glimpse of the ground we might yet stand upon, if we choose to walk forward.
Troy, as a young man from our time, thrust into Kieran’s world, finds himself in peril equal to our own, and in each moment of his experience, faces our choice — to commit to a forward path through unknown terrain, or to turn away in fear, seeking the seeming security of a path already known.

This is the right web site for anybody who would like to understand this topic. You realize so much its almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually would want toÖHaHa). You definitely put a new spin on a subject that has been written about for a long time. Great stuff, just great!
